What is 5G network?

First we had 2G network, now 4G. “G” stands for generation. Software companies are coming out with the 5G network. You might be thinking what could possibly be in a 5G network? The 5G network will have texting, internet access. Something that they improved is from the video, to the ultra HD and 3D video. The completely new thing that they put into the 5G network is the Smart home access. AT&T predicted that this 5th generation network will come out in 2020. The difference from 4G and 5G is that 5G will be faster, smarter and less power consuming than 4G, enabling a slew of new wireless gadgets. 5G will let us have faster smartphones, more smart-home devices and longer-lasting wearable items. Also the speed of the 5G network is 40 times the speed of the 4G network. It is fast enough to stream ‘8K’ videos in 3D or downloading a 3D movie in 6 seconds. (for the 4G network it takes about 6 minutes.)

In my opinion I think that the 5G network will work great. With network speed like this we don’t have to wait for so long for a game, movie, video and etc. to download. All of these things each take six seconds! It is unbelievable that companies like AT&T and Nokia are coming up with this. My only question is how are they going to design smart home access with just a network? Wouldn’t this be putting our social security in risk? In 2020, when they predict for the 5G network to come out, will this plan come for only certain phones or is it available for every I phone? Besides these doubts I have I am sure that 5G network will be one of the biggest business successes in the world.

  1. I think that will be really efficient for a lot of people. If only it could come out earlier because I sometimes get annoyed with the internet when it is slow.
