Powerball Goes On For Another Day

Powerball Goes On For Another Day

Who wants to be a billionaire? Powerball has announced there were no winning jackpot tickets sold on Wednesday. This means whoever wins will now get an estimated $675 million. The winner will get about $175 million more than they would have on Wednesday when the estimated amount of money won would have been $500 million. The winning numbers drawn on Wednesday were 2, 11, 47, 62, 63, and 17. The $675 million dollar jackpot will be the most in U.S. history. This will top the March 2012 jackpot of $656 million. The next drawing will be on Saturday. An estimated 30 million new tickets were purchased between Sunday and Wednesday. "This is more than 10 times what we see when the jackpot is at the lower levels," Texas Lottery spokesperson Kelly Cripe said Tuesday when it stood at $450 million. Nobody has matched all six numbers in one of the bi-weekly Powerball drawings since November 7, 2015. That is 18 drawings with no winner. Powerball is sold in 44 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. We will have to see if there will be any winners on Saturday or if the money will increase and go on for another week. The question is, how high will the money go and how much longer will this go on for.
