Artificial Surf Wave

Kelly Slater and his team of surfing experts came up with a prototype of an artificial surfing wave pool. it's a near perfect wave over 100 miles from the coast.’’It is getting close to replicating the energy that you see at some of the world's best waves of that size’’, says Dave Prodan a spokesman for the WSL. Also known as the World Surf League. Although wave pools have existed for many years none match the quality of Kelly Slater’s wave. It is about the height of a surfer and gives surfers the speed and power they need. The edge of the wave is crisp and cut so neat that surfers will be able to do more tricks . Since the wave is barrel shaped surfers will be able to ride inside of the wave. Surfers call it time inside the tube.

We will see if the artificial wave will be a success or not. Many surfers trying to make this wave pool have run into problems because of the huge cost  of energy needed to move water in the way that's comparable to a natural wave. I hope this works out and we could have these wave pools everywhere. My uncle loves to surf. He would travel anywhere to see one of these and he would love to ride one to feel as free as he does when he’s surfing in the ocean. My cousin also loves to surf and I think both my cousin and my uncle would love to get a chance to ride in this artificial wave pool, and be in the tube if water the wave creates.
