Twitter’s Violent Post Policy Has Changed

Twitter made a statement saying that they have updated their policy to stop people from posting harmful or abusive posts. The update was issued to help say that Twitter will not tolerate actions used to harass intimidate, or fear to silence another user’s voice. Twitter’s trust and safety director said, “As always we embrace and encourage diverse opinions and beliefs - but we will continue to take action on accounts that cross the line into abuse.” The new policy gives the social network a stronger ability to suspend or shutdown accounts. Another update stops users from using multiple accounts to avoid suspension. As you can see Twitter wants to keep their users safe and happy.

I found this article very interesting. One of those reasons is because both my parents and my sister are on Twitter. Also Twitter is one of the most known social networks in the world. I believe that this is an excellent idea so people can be more cautious about their posts, and users can feel comfortable to express their great ideas and opinions.
