Chinese Drone Maker Unveils Human-Carrying Drone

The Guangzhou, China-based company pulled the cloth off the Ehang 184 at the Las Vegas Convention Center during the CES gadget show. The Ehang 184 is like a human-sized drone but people can sit inside of it. It looks like a small helicopter with its propellers spinning parallel to the ground like other drones. This drone is an electric-powered drone which lasts about two full hours, and can carry up to 220 pounds.

The drone can fly for 23 minutes at sea level. The cabin inside the drone only fits one person and a small backpack. The drone also has air conditioning and a reading light. If the drone's propellers are folded up, it is designed to fit into a single parking spot. This drone is also designed to fly about 1,000 to 1,650 feet off the ground. Its maximum altitude is 11,500 feet and its top speed is 63 miles per hour.
