A Remote For Your Home

Sevenhugs CEO, Simon Tchedikian, is developing a new kind of remote that controls any smart device in your home.  For example, if you pointed your remote at your lamp, it would automatically show a picture of a lightbulb that you could use to turn your light on and off.  The downside about this remote is that at first, you have to let the remote get used to your home so that it can map out where everything is.  You also have to charge is once a day because the battery gets zapped pretty quickly.  Tchedikian says that the company has already started working on new devices that will work with the smart remote such as the Nest thermostat and the Sonos speakers which have already been created.  Plus the smart remote costs less than $200 so it won’t drown your bank account.

This new smart remote seems like a great idea.  Today, everyone has so many apps, downloads, and websites that we can barely keep track.  With the new smart remote, it will make things a whole lot easier.
